Preventative Maintenance of Solar Hot Water Systems

It is recommended your Solar Hot Water System is serviced 5 years from installation to ensure you benefit from its maximum performance and longevity.

What You Can Expect:

Depending on the length of years between service, your Solar Hot Water service will include:

  • Replacing the Sacrificial Anode and Hot water Temperature/pressure relief valve
  • Checking (and replacing if needed) the operation of the Element, Thermostat and H50 Cold expansion valve
  • Inspecting the level of Heat Transfer Fluid (J,K and DJV closed circuit systems only)
  • Cleaning the Glass on your Solar panels, as well as checking all connections on the system
 

Please note: After a 5-year service there can sometimes be some sediment come through your taps. This is only due to the breakdown of calcium from the anode, which is disturbed when removed.

2 year Solar Hot Water System Service = $199
5 – 10 year Solar Hot Water System Service = $279

Any additional parts and/or labour required will be quoted at the time of service.
